About the Author Jon F. The Succubus is the latest book in the Lawson Vampire series. This book can be read as a standalone. Though it is easier to follow if you have read at least some of the earlier Lawson books to understand who he is and what the Council is. If you like a lot of action, and are looking for vampires that don't sparkle, this series and latest book is for you. Violence plus hot and steamy so definitely 18+.The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I'm not going to repeat that all of that info here. The main character in this book and series are Lawson and his "Control" who currently is Niles. As a leader longtime reader and fan of this series, The Succubus did not disappoint me. As is typical of the storylines in the series, there is plenty of action as well as twists, turns, and surprises. And as usual you wonder if and how Lawson will survive.
The Succubus reminded me why I fell in love with this series. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Another good book in the Lawson series. Good character development and a decent plot. Definitely a great entry into the urban fantasy for adults genre.
This was another great Lawson story by a Master Storyteller. I can only hope that there are many many more books yet to come.
It is always a happy day when a new Lawson story comes out. I have enjoyed this series from the beginning and Lawson and his world have evolved and grown over the years without changing the sarcasm and fast paced adventure that makes the series so fun. I was happy to see Lawson back in Boston after so many foreign adventures - his take on various Boston area locales is just as snarky as it ever was. The story is sexier than usual but just as fast paced with some entertaining new characters - including a singing MIT professor. I hope he'll be back in future stories.
Another great Lawson adventure. Jon F. Merz brings the reader along on Lawson's investigation and at one point gives the reader a bit of information that narrows the suspects. This serves to intensify the action as we see Lawson move into a dangerous situation. By now, there's no putting the book down! It's a read-it-to-the-end to find out how Lawson fares.
I have been reading the Lawson books since the beginning. Lawson and his adventures never get old with me. In the latest installment, two vampires are found dead, and Lawson is called in to solve the mystery. Along the way, he has to enlist the help of a police officer from Boston's finest. If you like action and vampires, then this book is for you! If you have read the previous Lawson books, I highly recommend this addition to the series.
. When two vampires are horribly murdered in what looks like some kind of ritual killing Lawson is asked to solve the case. He learns the killer is female as he follows the clues to track her down with the help of a human police office. We get to see a little more of Meagan from a Forced Disappearance who I think will be an interesting asset and friend for Lawson. There's always plenty of action in the Lawson books, one of the reasons I love them so much. This one takes place in Boston instead of some foreign country like some of the other books but it doesn't lack in action or suspense. This is one of my all time favorite series and as soon as I finish with one I can't wait for the next one whether it's a short story or a novel.
I'm a big fan of the Lawson vampire series and this is no exception. Lawson is tasked with making sure the vampires living among us are kept hidden from the human world. When a suspected serial killer leaves a dead vampire in a hotel room, Lawson is sent to track down and eliminate the murderer before they strike again. Lawson is investigating while running interference with the human detective who Could end up getting to close to the vampires, and his own romantic dilemmas?
Lawson is a sassy, philosophical vampire who has opinions on every topic.if you haven't read rhis series yet, you wil be surprised. The books are always very timely and makes it completely plausible that vampires are alive and well in Boston. You can jump in but for me personally I'd start with the first book in the series called"The fixer".but hold out for the special anniversary edition lcoming ater this month.
